About Dr. Howard Tung, MD

Dr. Howard Tung has 33 years of experience in the field of Neurological Surgery. He earned his BA from Dartmouth College and his MD from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. After completing residencies in Neurological Surgery at Huntington Hospital, USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and LAC + USC Medical Center, he went on to complete a research fellowship in Molecular Biology at the California Institute of Technology. Today, this expert is board certified in Neurological Surgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Associate Clinical Professor of the Division of Neurosurgery at the University of California San Diego and as Co-Chief of the Spine Section at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. Currently, he serves as an Associate Physician Diplomate and a Clinical Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of California San Diego and the Chief of the Neurosurgery Section at Tri-City Medical Center.
