About Dr. Howard Scott Kaufman, FACS, MBA, MD
Dr. Howard S. Kaufman has over 30 years of experience in the field of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He earned his BS in Biology and Physics from Haverford College, his MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and his MBA from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. After completing his internship and residency in General Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, he went on to complete fellowships in General Surgery, as well as Alimentary Tract Surgery, both at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Today, this expert is board certified in Surgery. Formerly, this expert held roles as the Director of the Pelvic Floor Disorders Center and Anorectal Physiology Laboratory at Keck Medicine of USC. He was also the Chief of Colorectal and Pelvic Floor Surgery, and as an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Surgery, and Clinical Surgery at Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. Currently, he serves as a Clinical Professor and the Clinical Director of the Colorectal Research Program at Huntington Medical Research Institutes, as well as the Medical Director of Cancer Service at Huntington Hospital. He also serves as the Lead Surgeon at Huntington Colorectal Surgeons.
