Heather Evans is a licensed registered nurse, a certified lactation counselor, and is certified in maternal newborn nursing. She is active in her field as a member of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses, and she currently serves as the legislative coordinator for the Connecticut chapter of the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses. She has also published 8 peer-reviewed publications and has presented nationally and internationally in her field. She has formerly held various nurses positions including staff RN, RNC-MNN, and clinical educator. She has also served as an assistant professor of nursing at Norwich University, Quinnipiac University, and Southern Connecticut State University. She is currently a clinical faculty of nursing at a university in Massachusetts and an assistant professor of nursing at a university in Connecticut.
