About Dr. George Tolis Jr, MD

Dr. George Tolis has nearly 20 years of experience in the field of Cardiothoracic Surgery. He earned his BS and MS from Yale University and his MD from Harvard Medical School. After completing his residency in Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, he went on to complete two fellowships in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital, respectively. Today, this expert is board certified in Surgery and Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery. Formerly, this expert served as the Director of the Cardiac Surgical Simulation Laboratory and Training Program, an Associate Visiting Surgeon, and as the Quality Director for the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. Currently, this expert is an Associate Surgeon in the Division of Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery, the Section Chief of Coronary Surgery and General Cardiac Surgery, and the Network Director of Cardiac Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
