Dr. Stephanie P. Carreiro has 7 years of experience in the fields of Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology. She earned her BA in Biology and Psychology from Rhode Island College, her MD from New York Medical College, and her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. After completing both an internship and residency in Emergency Medicine at the Rhode Island Hospital, she went on to complete a fellowship in Medical Toxicology at the UMass Memorial Medical Center. Today, this expert is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology. Formerly, this expert served as an Attending Physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Rhode Island Hospital and as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the UMass Chan Medical School. She currently serves as a Co-Director of the Emergency Medicine Wellness Elective, as an Associate Professor, and as the Research Director of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the UMass Chan Medical School. She is also the Director of the Tox(In)novation Lab and an Attending Medical Toxicologist at UMass Memorial Medical Center. Moreover, she is also an Attending Emergency Medicine Physician for UMass Memorial Health Care.
