Dr. Stephanie Carreiro, MD, PhD, FACEP, FACMT

Dr. Stephanie P. Carreiro has specialized experience in the fields of Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology. They earned their BA in Biology and Psychology from Rhode Island College, their MD from New York Medical College and their PhD in Biomedical Sciences from UMass Chan Medical School Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. After completing their residency in Emergency Medicine at Rhode Island Hospital, they went on to complete a fellowship in Medical Toxicology at Umass Memorial Medical Center/University Campus. Today, the expert holds certifications in Medical Toxicology and Emergency Medicine. Previously, they held roles as a Critical Care Transport Physician and Pediatric Critical Care Transport Coordinator at Rhode Island Hospital and Instructor at UMass Chan Medical School. Currently, they work as an Attending Physician at UMass Memorial Health Care, Attending Physician at Umass Memorial Medical Center/University Campus and Co-Director at UMass Chan Medical School.
