Dr. Rasheed Balogun, MD

Dr. Rasheed Balogun, MD has spent two decades in the field of nephrology. He earned his MBBS from the University of Ibadan College of Medicine in Nigeria. He completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in nephrology at the University of Connecticut. This expert is board-certified in nephrology and active in his field as a member of numerous societies such as the American Society of Nephrology and the American Society for Apheresis. He has authored 75 peer-reviewed articles and 5 book chapters, as well as given numerous oral presentations. Formerly, this expert served as the medical director for several nephrology clinics affiliated with the University of Virginia. In addition, this expert worked his way up from an assistant professor of medicine to a tenured associate professor in the nephrology section at the University of Virginia.
