Dr. Rana Alissa, MD

Dr. Rana Alissa, MD pediatrician has specialized in newborn nursing and neonatology. She earned her MD from the University of Damascus School of Medicine and continued to complete an internship in internal medicine at the Rene-Dubos Hospital. Afterward, she completed two residencies in anesthesiology and pediatrics at the Ministry of Health Teaching Hospital and the University of Florida Health College of Medicine; respectively. She is board certified in pediatrics and remains active in her field as a member of professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics. She previously was a pediatrician in the emergency department at the Wolfson Children's Hospital and served as a research assistant at the University of Florida Health College of Medicine. Currently, is a pediatric hospitalist, the division chief of pediatric primary care and the medical director of the newborn nursery at a university-affiliated medical center in FL. Additionally, she is an assistant professor of pediatrics at a medical university in FL.
