Dr. Ramiro Garzon, MD has 15 years of experience in hematology. He received his BS in teaching from the National School and his MD from the National University of Córdoba in Argentina. Subsequently, he completed an internship in general medicine at Hospital San Roque and a residency in internal medicine at Hospital Privado in Argentina. He then traveled to the U.S. to complete a second residency in internal medicine at Yale University and two fellowships in hematology/oncology at Thomas Jefferson University and leukemia at Ohio State University. He is highly accomplished in his field, having patented six inventions, conducting over 20 clinical trials, and authoring over 100 peer-reviewed publications. He is also a member of several professional organizations that include the American Society of Hematology and the Americal Society of Cancer Research. Formerly, he served as both an assistance and associate professor of hematology at Ohio State University. Currently, he is a professor of hematology, the director of cellular research at a university in OH as well as co-leader of the leukemia research program at a university-affiliated cancer center.
