Dr. Mitchell Benson, MD

Dr. Mitchell C. Benson has 38 years of experience in the field of Urology. He earned his BS from the Union College Schenectady and his MD from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. After completing his internship and residency in General Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital, he went on to complete another residency in Urology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Afterwards, he completed a research fellowship in Urology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Today, this expert is board-certified in Urology. Formerly, this expert served as the John K Lattimer Professor of Urology and Chairman of Urology at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, the Director of Surgical Oncology at Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the Chief of Urology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He also served as the Director of Urologic Oncology, as well as the Physician in Chief and Director of Service of Urology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Currently, he serves as Herbert and Florence Irving Professor of Urology and as Chairman of Urology at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
