Dr. Michael Firstenberg, MD, FACC, FAIM

Dr. Michael S. Firstenberg has 17 years of experience in the field of Cardiothoracic Surgery. He earned his BA in Chemistry from the University of Chicago and his MD from the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. After completing both an internship and a residency in General Surgery at the University Hospitals of Cleveland, he went on to complete fellowships in Thoracic Surgery and Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Cleveland Clinic, respectively. Today, this expert is board certified in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery. Formerly, this expert served as an Assistant Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and as a Locum Tenens Surgeon at CHI Health Nebraska Heart, Monument Health Rapid City Hospital, and Mercy Health - Lourdes Hospital. He currently serves as a Locum Tenenes Surgeon at Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican Hospital, San Martin Campus, Maui Memorial Medical Center, and Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. He is also a Surgeon in Private Practice, a Surgeon with Pacific Permanente Group, and the Director of Research and Special Projects for the Novick Cardiac Alliance. Moreover, he is an Adjunct Graduate Faculty Member at the Northeast Ohio Medical University College of Graduate Studies, an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Northeast Ohio Medical University College of Medicine, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Integrative Medical Sciences at the Northeast Ohio Medical University College of Medicine.
