Dr. Michael J. Thirman has over 28 years of experience in the field of Hematology and Oncology. He earned his BA in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Michigan and his MD from the University of Michigan Medical School. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - West Bank Hospital, he went on to complete a fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology at Minneapolis VA Medical Center and in Hematology and Oncology at University of Chicago Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Internal Medicine. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Assistant Professor of the Section of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Chicago and as the Co-Program Leader of Hematopoiesis and Hematologic Malignancies at the University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center. Currently, he serves as a Physician at UChicago Medicine Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine and as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago.
