Dr. Michael J. VanRooyen has years of experience in the field of Emergency Medicine. He earned his BS from Michigan State University, MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine, MPH from the University of Illinois Chicago. After completing his residency in Emergency Medicine at University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago, he went on to complete a fellowship in Clinical Research Effectiveness at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Today, this expert is board certified in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Formerly, he held roles such as an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and as the Director of the Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Currently, he serves as a Professor in the Department of Global Health and Population at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, as Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and as J. Stephen Bohan Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He also works as Chief of the Enterprise Emergency Medicine at Mass General Brigham.
