He earned his BA in Mathematics from Syracuse University, his MD from Stanford School of Medicine, and his MS in Astrophysics and Astronomy from the Swinburne University of Technology. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Tufts Medical Center and his fellowship in Rheumatology and Immunology at the National Institutes of Health. Today, this expert is board-certified in Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology, and Internal Medicine. Formerly, this expert held roles as the Chairperson of the Graduate Group in Immunology and as Chief in the Division of Rheumatology/Allergy and Clinical Immunology at UC Davis School of Medicine. He was most recently the Jack and Donald Chia Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology/Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the UC Davis School of Medicine. Currently, he serves as a Distinguished Professor of Medicine at the UC Davis School of Medicine.
