Dr. Matthew Carroll, MD, FAPA

Dr. Matthew F. Carroll has specialized experience in the fields of Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry. They earned their BS in Biology from Cornell University and their MD from George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. After completing their residency in Psychiatry at Naval Medical Center San Diego, they went on to complete a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Today, the expert holds certifications in Forensic Psychiatry and Psychiatry. Previously, they held roles as a Consulting Psychiatrist at Naval Consolidated Brig Miramar, Staff Psychiatrist at VA Compensation and Pension Clinic, and Adjunct Professor at University of San Diego School of Law. Currently, they work as a Staff Psychiatrist at Psychiatric Hospital of San Diego County, Assistant Clinical Professor at UC San Diego School of Medicine, and Forensic Psychiatrist at the County of San Diego.
