Dr. Karen Hopkins, MD has over 25 years of experience as a pediatrician with a specialization in neurodevelopmental disabilities. She gained her BS in biology at Tufts University and her MD at New York University School of Medicine. She then completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center and her fellowship in developmental/behavioral pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Formerly, she was the director of the early intervention program in ambulatory pediatrics at Bellevue Hospital Center, the medical director for the Bureau for Families with Special Needs for the NYC Department of Health, as well as an attending developmental pediatrician, the director of the developmental family service unit, and an assistant professor of pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Currently, she is a clinical associate professor of pediatrics at a medical university and serves as the associate director for the pediatric developmental-behavioral fellowship program, and the director of the pediatric developmental clinic and ADHD clinic at a hospital, all in New York.
