Dr. Joseph Penn, MD, CCHP

Dr. Joseph V. Penn has over 27 years of experience in the fields of Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He earned his BS in Biology from the University of the Incarnate Word and his MD from the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston. After completing his residency in General Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Brown University, he went on to complete a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at Yale University. Today, this expert is board certified in Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Formerly, this expert held roles as a Staff Psychiatrist at Kent County Mental Health Center, New Haven Court Clinic, and SSTAR Family Healthcare Center. He also served as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston and Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Currently, he serves as a Clinical Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston and as the Director of the Correctional Managed Care at the University of Texas Medical Branch.
