Dr. James Lauridson, MD has over 30 years of experience in forensic pathology. He received his BS from the University of Colorado Boulder and his MD from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He completed internal medicine training at Bethesda Naval Hospital then began his anatomic pathology residency at Stanford University. He completed his anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Presbyterian Hospital in Denver and then completed a fellowship in forensic pathology at the Dade County Medical Examiner's Office. He is board-certified in anatomic and forensic pathology and is a member of the National Association of Medical Examiners and the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. In the past, he served in the armed forces in the medical corps for the US Army Reserve and US Navy. As a forensic pathologist, he began his career as an associate medical examiner at the Dade County Medical Examiner's Office and then moved to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences where he worked as a state medical examiner, deputy chief medical examiner, consultant, and chief medical examiner. Currently, he is a forensic pathologist in private practice in Alabama as well as the founder of a private forensic illustration firm.
