Dr. Henry Simmons, MD, PhD

Dr. Henry F. Simmons Jr. has 39 years of experience in the field of Family Medicine, Medical Toxicology, and Emergency Medicine. He earned his BS from Arkansas State University and his MD from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. After completing his internship at Banner–University Medical Center Phoenix and Carl T. Hayden Veterans' Administration Medical Center, he completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Today, this expert is board certified in Emergency Medicine, Medical Toxicology, and Family Medicine. Formerly, this expert held roles as a Co-Medical Director of the Evidence-Based Prescription Drug Program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and as a Physician at Arkansas Heart Hospital. Currently, he serves as a Medical Director of the Arkansas Poison Control Center and Evidence-Based Prescription Drug Program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy. He also serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and as a Consultant Toxicologist at the Southwest Center for Pediatric Environmental Health.
