Dr. Franco Musio, MD, FACP, FASN

Dr. Franco Musio has over 25 years of experience in the field of Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He earned his B.S., cum laude, from Georgetown University and his M.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University School of Medicine. After completing his transitional internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, he pursued his residency in General Surgery at Brooke Army Medical Center and further specialized in Nephrology during his fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. Musio is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Formerly, he held roles as Instructor of Medicine and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, as well as Associate Professor of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. Currently, he serves as Associate Professor of Medicine at University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Musio is the President of Franco Musio, M.D. Medical Consultation Group, LLC and the Associate Chief Medical Correspondent at WVGB 94.5 FM.
