Doctor of Medicine
Dr. Douglas Pavlak, MD is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He received his BA in biology from Wesleyan before going on to complete his MD at the University of Connecticut. He then completed an internship in general medicine and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation from St. Francis Medical Center. He is an active contributor to his field with multiple publications and numerous presentations. He is also an active member of several organizations, including as a founding president of the Maine Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Formerly, he has served in several different capacities, including as staff physiatrist for RiverRidge Center for Brain Injury Rehabilitation and medical and clinical director of speech and hearing, physical therapy and rehabilitation for various organizations, including Central Maine Medical Center and Medical Rehabilitation Associates. Currently, he serves as a staff physiatrist and director of neurophysiology for an orthopedic group in Maine. He also serves as consulting and courtesy staff for three hospitals and medical centers throughout Maine.
