He earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Duke University and his Doctorate of Medicine from Wake Forest School of Medicine. After completing his Neurology Residency at Northwestern University/McGaw, where he served as Chief Resident, Dr. Shah pursued clinical fellowships in Movement Disorders and Deep Brain Stimulation at Toronto Western Hospital. Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Shah currently holds the position of Head of Division for the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Division at the University of Virginia.
