About Dr. David Lawrence Pitrak, FIDSA, MD

Dr. David Pitrak has over 34 years of experience in the field of Infectious Diseases. He earned his BS in Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and his MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, he went on to complete a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago. Today, this expert is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Formerly, this expert held roles as Chief of the Section of Infectious Diseases and Global Health and as the Program Director of the Joint Fellowship Program in Infectious Diseases at the University of Chicago.
