About Dr. David Erwin Pitcher, FACS, MD

Dr. David E. Pitcher has 31 years of experience in the field of Surgery. He earned his BA in Chemistry from Texas Tech University and his MD from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. He completed his residency and research fellowship in General Surgery, as well as a clinical fellowship in Surgical Laparoscopy and Endoscopy at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Today, this expert is board certified in Surgery. Formerly, this expert held roles as the Chief Medical Officer at UNM Health System and as an Associate Clerkship Director in the Department of Surgery at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Currently, he serves as the Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and as a Professor of Surgery at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. He also serves as an Executive Physician at the UNM Health System.
