Dr. Daniel McGehee, PhD

Dr. Daniel V. McGehee has specialized experience in the fields of Human Factors & Ergonomics and Industrial Engineering. They earned their BA in Psychology from Central Washington University, their MS in Engineering Psychology, Human Factors from the University of Idaho, and their PhD in Human Factors from the University of Leeds. Previously, they held roles as a Project Manager of Human Factors Research Group in the Center for Computer-Aided Design, Iowa Driving Simulator at the University of Iowa College of Engineering, and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Occupational and Environmental Health, and Emergency Medicine, and Director of Human Factors and Vehicle Safety Research Program at the University of Iowa. Currently, they work as an Owner and Senior Principal Scientist of Human Factors at Crash Analytics, LLC, and Courtesy Professor of Emergency Medicine, Occupational and Environmental Health, and Public Policy, and Director of Driving Safety Research Institute and National Advanced Driving Simulator at Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine.
