Mr. Brian Decker has over ten years of experience examining financial institutions ranging from large banks to credit card issuers for regulatory compliance. He has hands-on experience reviewing the policies and procedures of financial institutions as they relate to various federal laws, including the FCBA and FCRA, among others. Formerly, he worked as a contract attorney providing document auditing services for complex litigation, and with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as an examiner. In his role as an examiner his work included the application of federal consumer financial laws, regulations, practices and procedures to identify compliance risks, violations and unfair, deceptive or abusive acts or practices, and determine appropriate corrective actions in reviews of banks and non-depository financial institutions. Currently, he is a compliance consultant with a national financial services group.
