About Dr. Brent Andrew Ponce, FAAOS, MD

Dr. Brent A. Ponce has over 17 years of experience in Orthopaedic Surgery. He earned his BA in Biology from the University of Cincinnati and his MD from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. After completing his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, he went on to complete a fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow at Harvard Medical School. Today, this expert is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery. Formerly, this expert held roles as the Medical Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at UAB Highlands Hospital, and as a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the Vice-Chair of Clinical Affairs at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine. Currently, he serves as the Chair of the Research Hughston Foundation, and Physician and Surgeon at Hughston Clinic.
