About Dr. Bill Guerin McDonald, CEM, FACEM, FACPE, PhD

Dr. Bill G. McDonald has 26 years of experience in the field of Emergency Medical Services. He earned his certificate in Emergency Medical Technology from the Training Institute for Medical Emergencies and Rescue, his BPS in Fire and Emergency Management from SUNY Empire State College, his MPA from Columbia Southern University, and his Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University. Today, he is a Certified Emergency Manager through the International Association of Emergency Managers, a Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional through the International Board for Certification Services and Management, and both a Chief EMS Officer and a Chief Training Officer through the Center for Public Safety Excellence. Moreover, he is a National Registered Paramedic through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and a New Jersey Certified Emergency Manager through the New Jersey Emergency Management Association. Additionally, he is a licensed Paramedic, Certified Instructor, Notary, and Security Guard in the State of New York. Formerly, this expert served as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Management and Public Affairs at SUNY Empire State College. He also served as a Paramedic for The Valley Hospital. He currently serves as the Principal Consultant and Executive Director of McDonald Public Safety Consulting LLC, as a Senior Advisor at Cambridge Consulting Group, and as the Chief Operating Officer of Staten Island Emergency Medical Training Center, Inc.
