Dr. Benjamin Abella, MD, MPhil, FACEP, FAHA

Dr. Benjamin S. Abella has specialized experience in the fields of Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine. They earned their BA in Biochemistry from Washington University in St. Louis, their MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and their MPhil in Genetics from the University of Cambridge. They went on to complete a residency in Emergency Medicine at UChicago Medicine. Today, the expert holds a certification in Emergency Medicine. Previously, they held roles as a William G. Baxt Professor and Medical Director at Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and Attending Physician at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, they work as an Associate Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania, System Chair at Mount Sinai Health System, and Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
