Dr. Avery Tung, MD, FCCM

Dr. Avery Tung has years of experience in the fields of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. He earned his BA in Chemistry from Harvard University and his MD from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. After completing his residency in Anesthesia at the University of California, San Francisco, he went on to complete a fellowship in Critical Care at Stanford University. Today, the expert holds certifications in Critical Care Medicine and Anesthesiology. Previously, he held roles as an Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at the University of Chicago. Currently, he works at the Chief of Critical Care for UChicago Medicine and as a Professor at the University of Chicago.
