Dr. Antonio Garcia, MSW, PhD

Dr. Antonio R. Garcia has 12 years of experience in the field of Social Work with expertise in Child Abuse & Neglect. He earned his BA in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Oregon, his MSW from the University of Washington, and his PhD in Social Welfare from the University of Washington. He went on to complete a fellowship in Child Welfare from the University of Washington. Formerly, he served as Co-Faculty Director at The Field Center for Children’s Policy, Practice & Research at the University of Pennsylvania, as the Associate Professor of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice, and as the Diversity and Expansion Officer at University of Kentucky College of Social Work. Currently, he serves as the Faculty Associate of the Center on Trauma and Children, as the Buckhorn Professor of Social Work, and as the Director of the Interdisciplinary Research Center on Families & Children at the University of Kentucky College of Social Work.
