Dr. Abhinav Humar, MD

Dr. Abhinav Humar has over 25 years of experience in the field of Transplant Surgery. They earned their Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Ottawa. After completing their residency in General Surgery at the University of Ottawa, they completed a fellowship in transplant surgery at the University of Western Ontario. This expert is board certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Formerly, Dr. Humar held roles as Medical Director for the Living Donor Transplant Program and Director of Liver Transplantation at the University of Minnesota. Currently, they serve as Division Chief of Transplant Surgery at the Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and as Clinical Director of the Starzl Transplantation Institute.
