He received his AB in human biology from Stanford University before graduating cum laude and earning his MD from the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center. He subsequently completed residencies in family practice and internal medicine at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. Additionally, he earned his MBA from the University of Massachusetts and completed Harvard Business School's Executive Education program. This expert is board certified in internal medicine and is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is active in his field as a member of several organizations, including the American Association of Physician Leadership and the Society of Hospital Medicine. He is also involved in research, having authored several scientific journal articles and books.
