This board certified expert earned his BS from the University of Kentucky and MD from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Residency and fellowship training were completed at Cornell Medical Center and Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, respectively. He is actively involved in research, has published over 235 original peer reviewed articles, 110 reviews, and 40 book chapters, and has been awarded numerous multi-million dollar grants. The expert is responsible for teaching, supervising, and lecturing medical, undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students as well as residents and fellows. The expert is highly respected and recognized in his field; having won several lifetime achievement awards and been named one of the Best Doctors in America each year from 2005. Currently, he is a Professor Emeritus and Dean Emeritus at a major university affiliated medical center.
