He has expertise in urologic oncology and general Urology primarily in prostate disease, early detection, novel imaging and treatment applications and epidemiology. He is interested in men’s health research, particularly sexual function and testosterone effect on general health. He also acts as the Principal Investigator for several national research projects. He pioneered 3D imaging of the prostate gland and focal targeted therapy for prostate cancer. He performed the first focal interstitial laser therapy of the prostate in the US.
