She earned her BS in human biology from Indiana University and her MS in genetic counseling from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is a board certified and licensed genetic counselor in 7 states including Tennessee, Illinois, Utah, Ohio, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Virginia. She is very active in her field as a member and diplomate of the American Board of Genetic Counseling and holds full membership at the National Society of Genetic Counselors.
