She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Creighton University and her Master of Science in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner from University Nebraska Medical Center. She is not only a nurse practitioner but also a certified bariatric nurse. She is currently a nurse practitioner in bariatric surgery as well as the bariatric surgery coordinator at a major medical center specializing in weight management.
