This expert has been practicing for over 40 years and has experience in both hospital and ambulatory care settings. A Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Pediatric Primary Care Mental Health Specialist, she has been honored as a Fellow of both the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. A Former President of the Greater New York Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, she is a reviewer for the Journal of Pediatric Nursing, the Journal of Pediatric Health Care, as well as The American Journal for Nurse Practitioners. The recipient of awards such as Nurse Practitioner of the Year by the Nurse Practitioner Association of Long Island and the Nelms-Miller Editorial Award by the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, she is involved in research to improve the health care outcomes for children and has been awarded thousands of dollars in grants.
