Job Description

Our 10-week summer internship program is designed to give you an immersive experience, where you’ll gain hands-on real world experience and will be welcomed by all of our team here at Expert Institute. During this internship candidates will receive role specific training, interact with members of our Executive team, and work on meaningful projects in the legal tech industry. Each intern will meet with department heads and company leaders to discuss business development skills ranging from professional business writing to best search strategies, and will receive performance feedback from their manager throughout the summer!

About the Role
We’re looking for a highly motivated and ambitious student to join our Sales team as a Sales Development Intern this summer. This intern will have the opportunity to work in a fast paced startup environment, where they’ll learn sales flow processes and gain insight into how to prospect into new territories, how to find and target ideal customer profiles, and what to say when speaking on the phone with warm and cold leads. This intern will gain exposure to the daily operations of a high-growth sales department and will make an impact by providing support to our sales leaders! 

Our Sales Development Intern will have the opportunity to: 

  • Gain confidence cold calling and speaking with clients on the phone

  • Participate in weekly team huddles and shadow live client calls

  • Learn how to prospect new clients and gain insight into best practices 

  • Gain experience navigating through Salesforce and Salesloft, our CRM and Sales Enablement Tools

  • Help drive business by following up with clients 

  • Maintain data integrity when updating accounts and client information

  • Work on high impact administrative ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Rising Junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in any subject field preferred

  • Interest in beginning their career in sales, B2B sales is a plus

  • Self starter with strong communication and time management skills

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • Professional presence with a high level of emotional maturity

  • Comfortable cold calling and speaking with prospective clients in an open setting

  • Ability to work with a high caliber team in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
