Central to our service and product delivery is Expert iQ, a web-based software solution launched in 2018. Expert iQ helps streamline collaboration between attorneys, experts, and team members at Expert Institute. It provides a repository of work history, a hub for collaboration, and a strategic delivery platform for our new and expanding content initiatives. 

Expert Institute is investing heavily in Expert iQ and the product, technology, and content teams that surround it. We are looking for a Product Manager eager to make a big impact executing against an ambitious roadmap.

Job Description

The Product Manager reports to the VP of Product and will partner closely with product design, onshore and offshore engineering teams and marketers to design, develop and launch new product capabilities. You will collaborate regularly with subject matter experts, senior leaders, sales, client success, and content managers to understand workflows and define requirements. You will develop a deep understanding of our users - through analysis of user activity and trends as well as in-person engagement and feedback gathering.


You are an experienced Product Manager with 3-5+ years of experience. You are up-to-date in your knowledge of agile software development and will pick up our cadence quickly. You may have prior exposure to legal software or systems involving data, analytics, collaborative workflow, search and/or document management. You have a knack for breaking down big projects into digestible chunks, creating shared understanding, and following through with clear, concise user stories. You appreciate well-designed, high-quality software and enjoy working with like minded product designers and engineers.

  • 3-5+ years of product management experience

  • Experience operating in an agile / kanban development environment - managing daily standups, refinement, retrospectives, release planning, etc.

  • Adept at defining, measuring and managing to thoughtful KPIs

  • Strong problem-solving skills and user experience sensibilities

  • Ability to present to diverse audiences - at both high and low levels of detail

  • Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies for new product launches

  • Familiarity with technical concepts such as APIs, data models, cloud architecture, etc

  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • High attention to detail and quality 

  • You have a sense of humor and enjoy building a positive, supportive team culture
