Dr. Shakir R. Shatnawi has 37 years of experience in the field of Traffic Engineering and Civil Engineering. He earned his BS in Civil Engineering from California State University Sacramento, his MS in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, and Management from San José State University, and his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and Transportation Engineering from the University of Arkansas. He is currently a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California. Formerly, he held a number of roles at the California Department of Transportation, including as a Division Chief. He was also an Adjunct Professor at California State University Sacramento. Currently, he serves as the Owner, CEO, and President at Shatec Engineering Consultants where he provides Consulting and Expert Witness Services.
