About Dr. Kenneth Lewis Brayman, FACS, MD, PhD

Dr. Kenneth Lewis Brayman has 31 years of experience in the field of General Surgery. He earned his BS in Biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts and his MD and Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. After completing his Residency in General Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, he completed a Prestigious Fellowship in Transplantation Surgery at the University of Minnesota Hospital. Today, this expert is Board certified in General Surgery. Currently, he serves as the Director of the Pancreas and Islet Transplant Programs, the Center for Cellular Transplantation and Therapeutics, and the Renal Transplant Program at the University of Virginia Health System and as a Professor of Medicine, Surgery, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Virginia School of Medicine.
