About Dr. Jeremiah Schuur, MD

This expert has over 15 years of experience in the field of emergency medicine. He earned his BA from Williams College, his MD from New York University, and his MHS from Yale University. He then completed a residency in emergency medicine at Brown Medical School and a fellowship in internal medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine. Today, this expert is board certified in emergency medicine. He stays active in his field as a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and Society for Academic Emergency Medicine and as the author of more than 140 peer-reviewed publications and co-author of over a dozen book chapters in the emergency medicine space. This expert previously was an attending physician at Yale-New Haven Hospital, an associate professor at Harvard Medical School, and the director of performance improvement and the chief of health policy translation at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, among numerous other positions. Most recently, he was the physician-in-chief of emergency medicine at Rhode Island & Hasbro Children’s Hospitals, The Miriam Hospital, and Newport Hospital. Currently, he serves as a professor of emergency medicine and health services at an Ivy League university and as an attending physician at three top hospitals in Rhode Island.
