About Dr. Jacob Romanoff Rachlin, MD, PhD

Dr. Jacob R. Rachlin has 31 years of experience in the field of Neurological Surgery. He earned his BA in Biology from the University of Chicago, his MD from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, and his Ph.D. in Pathology and Molecular Biology from the University of Chicago. He completed both an internship in General Surgery and a residency in Neurological Surgery at the UCSF Medical Center and today, this expert is board-certified in Neurological Surgery. Formerly, this expert served as an Instructor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School and as a Neurosurgeon at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He currently serves as the Chief of Neurosurgery for the VA Boston Healthcare System, as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the Boston University School of Medicine, and as a Neurosurgeon at the Roxbury VA Medical Center.
