About Dr. Francis Emmanuel Fynn Thompson, MD

Dr. Francis Fynn-Thompson has 17 years of experience in the field of Cardiac Surgery. He earned his BA in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and his MD from Harvard Medical School. He completed his Internship and Residency in General Surgery and went on to complete his Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. Today, this expert is board certified in Congenital Cardiac Surgery and Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Assistant Cardiac Surgeon at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and as an Instructor and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Currently, he serves as the Co-Director of the Center for Airway Disorders and as the Surgical Director of the Heart Transplantation Program and Cardiac Surgery Fellowship Program at Boston Children's Hospital. He also serves as an Associate Cardiac Surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and as an Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School.
