About Dr. Edward H Kaplan, MD

This expert has over 30 years of experience in the field of medical oncology. He earned his BS in biology from the University of Illinois and went on to earn his MD from the Loyola-Stritch School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Northwestern University. Today, this expert is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. He remains active in his field as a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and has numerous publications and presentations and is the holder of three patents. Formerly, he served as the director of an inpatient oncology unit at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center, before serving as director of gastrointestinal malignancies at Rush Cancer Institute, both in Illinois. He then served as the medical director of the oncology inpatient and outpatient at Rush North Shore Medical Center. Currently, he serves as an assistant professor of internal medicine at a top medical college in Illinois and as a medical oncologist at several hospitals in Illinois.
