Dr. Kevin Murphy, PhD, CEC

Dr. Kevin S. Murphy has 44 years of experience in Food Safety, Culinary and Food Services, and Food and Beverage. He earned his AS in Accounting from Bentley University, his BS and MS in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Hospitality and Tourism Management from Virginia Tech and his PhD in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Pamplin College of Business. Today, this expert is certified as a Certified Executive Chef by the American Culinary Federation. Formerly, this expert served as a Sous Chef at the Sheraton Boston Hotel, as Executive Sous Chef at the World Trade Center, as a Lecturer at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, as a Food and Beverage Director and Associate Director at Virginia Tech, and as an Instructor in the Hospitality and Tourism Management Department at James Madison University College of Business. He also served as an Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in the Department of Foodservice and Lodging Management and as the Chair of the Department of Hospitality Services at UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management. Currently, this expert is a Professor in the Department of Foodservice and Lodging Management at UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management.
