Dr. David Y. Kan has over 15 years of experience in Psychiatry, specializing in Addition Medicine and Forensic Psychology. He earned his BA in Psychology from Northwestern University and his MD from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Psychiatry and a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. Today, this expert is board-certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine and in Forensic Psychiatry and Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Formerly, this expert served as the Associate Chief of the Mental Health Service and as the Medical Director of the Opiate Replacement Therapy Program at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. Currently, he is the Owner and Psychiatrist in private practice and the Chief Medical Officer at Bright Heart Health.
