About Dr. David Andrew Talan, FACEP, FIDSA, MD

Dr. David A. Talan has 33 years of experience in the field of Infectious Diseases and Emergency Medicine. He earned BA in Biology and Chemistry from the University of California San Diego and his MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. After completing his internship in Internal Medicine and his residency in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, he went on to complete his fellowships in Infectious Diseases at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center and Southern California Hospital at Culver City. Today, this expert is board certified in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Formerly, he held roles as a Professor-in-Residence at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and as the Chief and Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. Currently, he serves as a Professor Emeritus in the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and as Chairman Emeritus of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. He also works as a Clinical Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine and as an Attending Physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
