Mr. David A. Downey has 36 years of experience in the field of Aviation. He earned his BS in Aeronautical Technology from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and his MS in Aerospace Management from the University of Tennessee Space Institute. Today, this expert is certified as a Ground Instructor and as an Airline Transport Pilot by the Federal Aviation Administration. Formerly, he spent over twenty years in the United States Army as a Helicopter/Airplane Pilot. He also served as a Rotorcraft Directorate Manager for the Federal Aviation Administration’s Southwest Region, and as the Vice President of Systems Engineering, Flight Safety/Accident Investigation and Certification at Bell Helicopter Services Inc. Currently, this expert serves as the President of and Consultant at Downey Aviation Services.
